What a fun environment for a good meal and laughs. All of the food was delicious, tacos, appetizer, tres leche, margaritas. Definitely want to go back!! Our server was awesome!! We had a great time!! High recommend.
You really can't forget Green Lemon when it comes to top tier Tampa restaurants. One stop all you need in a Mexican American joint. Some of the best margaritas in the city, a plentiful variety of tacos that are all fantastic in their own regards. My personal favorites are the Ancho Chicken and Carne Asada. Immaculate chips seasoned to perfection, and trio dip is to die for. I will say that the guacamole and queso are out of this world BUT the salsa could use some work. I think that's the only negative comment I have about Green Lemon. Salsa is just ok. However, the Brussel Sprout bowl is wicked good and I don't even like vegetables... I've been coming to Green Lemon for at least 6 years as my go to Mexican spot. The ambiance and service never disappoints and even though it is always slammed I get my food and drinks in a timely manner. It's hard for me to go to any other Mexican spots in Tampa because in the back of my mind I am always thinking, "I'd rather just go to Green Lemon". Kudos to the management and staff who make this such an enjoyable experience for me!
Definitely understand the hype! We have tried to come here before but the wait is usually an hour or more. Sadly the one negative is that they do not take reservations so it's first come first serve. Going on a Monday was helpful in making sure there wasn't an insane wait. We started by ordering the trio duo appetizer which I didn't even get a photo off because we finished it as soon as it you had the table! The queso dip was amazing!! We ordered for drink Sangritas which were a 15/10 it is a mix of sangria with margarita and it was one of my favorite drinks in Tampa yet! Again I couldn't take a photo because we chugged it! The food was delicious the bowls are definitely a hard recommendations: the carnitas and ropa vieja bowls. The ambience was very sports bar with TVS everywhere and bar like decor. We enjoyed our time!
Green Lemon is a pretty tasty option for those looking to satisfy their taco cravings. They have all the expected favorites like Birria, Asada, Chorizo. And Pescado. Everything is freshly prepared and is well balanced between meat and veggies. The portions are a little smaller so I'd recommend getting 3 tacos if you are hungry. The corn esquites were delicious and highly recommended with anything you get. It taste super fresh and savory. We couldn't decide what to get so we of course got everything.... Fish taco, carne Asada taco. ancho chicken taco, and the Birria tacos that come in 3. The fish taco was awesome (make sure to get it fried). Surprisingly the ancho chicken was very juicy and tasted the best of the tacos. It was packed with flavor with every bite. The Asada taco was pretty average so might try another option next time. The Birria tacos were pretty good too! They were a little on the smaller side so you probably will still be hungry despite eating 3 of them. Overall value was great for the meal. The staff was pretty friendly and attentive. Would definitely be back next time in town!
A lively spot with great music and great food! The trio dip and locos nachos are my favorite shareables for the table! For myself, I order the street trio (of course). My favorite tacos are kft and shia la beef! But watch out, the shia la beef is SPICY. The margaritas are very sweet and effective. Great deals during fiesta hour! All around, great food. It's not the most authentic, but you don't come here for that... You should always come here expecting a wait. Especially on Tuesdays and weekends.
This is probably one of the most fun places to come to especially being in the heart of soho. Be prepared to wait, so put your name on the wait list, grab a margarita at the bar, and enjoy the vibes. Great music from the DJ playing classic hip hop and r&b gets you moving all night. Once you sit down, the Margarona comes out - a large margarita with a Corona to top it off, aside from the music this gets the night going as well. To start with an appetizer, the trio dip with chips is a classic and each dip is good. Then the Trio Street Tacos, a large selection of great tacos to choose from are really good for the main meal. The service is good as well, can't complain. Great place to come and have a good time. Very loud and lively restaurant with good music and a DJ.
My friend and I decided to switch it up from our normal spot for taco Tuesday and try Green Lemon. First things first, come baring in mind that there is going to be a very long wait! My friend arrived around 6PM, put us on the list and we weren't seated till roughly 7:15PM. Upon entering, the place is loud and colorful. Not where you wanna come to have an intimate 1 on 1 but if you're looking for a fun vibe with friends, then yes. The music blaring were all popular radio hits and I was happy. Now onto the food... everything was honestly incredible. I ordered the Ropa Viejia bowl and it was so fulfilling. It was packed with flavor and came with so much food i had leftovers to take home. The gigantic taco was not my favorite, I think it had too much flavor for me. And to be honest, buffalo sauce on a taco is weird. My friend ordered the shrimp taco bowl and ate every last bit, so it's safe to say that green lemon definitely packs flavorful dishes and I will be back.
I grabbed lunch at Green Lemon with a big group of friends and this was the perfect place for a meet-up! It was a fun and lively spot with cool decor. The servers were all very polite and provided great food recommendations. I love tacos in general, but Green Lemon truly blew me away. Their tacos were fresh, delicious, and had very unique concepts (the taco names are also pretty fun). I got the street trio which came with 3 tacos and a side. This was the perfect amount of food for a filling lunch. I decided to get the kung fu'd tuna, shia la beef, and gigante tacos. I could not pick a favorite! The kung fu'd taco came with seared rare tuna, pickled red onion, mango, cucumber, avocado, and cilantro. I liked the mix of fresh ingredients topped with their Sriracha aioli. The shia la beef taco had more of a spicy flavor which was balanced out by the queso fresco and corn salsa. The gigante taco was a fun twist on one of my faves, buffalo chicken. It was paired with classic blue cheese crumbles but also a really nice lime caesar sauce. For a side, I got the plantains. They were absolutely delicious, though they do charge an additional fee. I would definitely recommend Green Lemon for a quick bite or an easy meet-up spot with friends.
I have never heard of the Green Lemon, and it wasn't on my radar to eat here, but it did not disappoint one bit! Upon walking in I was unsure who to speak to regarding finding a table due to no one being at the host stand, but that was the least engagement I had during my whole experience at Green Lemon. After speaking to the togo associate I was directed to a table where I was guided on the best foods and the best options for the Green Lemons menu by my server Ethan (highly recommend using him if you stop in). Ethan recommended the buffalo chicken tacos on top of the carne asada and a side of the esqitue corn. THE FOOD WAS GREAT! I don't think the prices were bad or great, but I would pay them again for how delicious and attentive my server was. Not to mention the ambiance of the whole restaurant was hip and a great techno-modern vibe. Ethan sat with me for a bit just chatting and talking about the restaurant. It was a great first experience and I am thankful I decided to stop in for lunch. Next time I will try a margarita per the recommendation of the servers.
